Kerala Dist Collector Has Lunch With School Kids, Wins Praise

Dist Collector praised for surprise visit a school and sharing meal with kids.

Alappuzha district collector S Suhas in Kerala has got a ‘plate full’ of applause on social media and won many hearts when he made a surprise visit to a school in Neerkunnam and had food along with the kids to assess the quality of mid-day meal. Not only were the kids thrilled, but people online lauded him for his act.

Suhas made a surprise visit to Sree Devi Vilasam (SDV) UP government school during the lunchtime on Wednesday to check if the meal was of proper standards.

Photos of his visit with the children were shared on his official Facebook page, which got him a ‘feast’ of praise online. The post soon went viral.

He said he wanted to assess the nutritional value of the food being given at SDV School – which has the largest number of students studying there.

On his FB post, he also shared details about what he ate along with the kids. After being satisfied by the quality of the mid-day meal, he also visited the school’s library and computer lab.
