A Relieving Day For Karnataka On COVID Front

Covid-19: 7576 new cases in Karnataka, 97 deaths

Bengaluru: Karnataka had some relief on the Covid-19 front with new Coronavirus cases dipping from 9K last week to 7K+ Tuesday.

While the new Covid cases were 8244 on Monday, today it went down further to 7596 despite testing remaining around 65K plus.

But Bengaluru continued to report bulk of the new cases. Out of today’s figures, almost half (3084) was from the capital city. Bengaluru also recorded 41 of the total of 97 Covid-related deaths across Karnataka.

Only three districts recorded over 300 new cases – Mysuru, Davanagere and Shivamogga.

Experts say it is early to conclude that the state is witnessing a dip in the COVID graph and that only the coming weeks can confirm that. If the trend holds in the coming weeks, it would be a big relief, said, experts.
