A special CBI court has recorded the statement of former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi in the case of the demolition of Babri Masjid. The 86-year-old leader made his statement through video conferencing from Lucknow.

The statement of former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani is also to be recorded on Friday.

92-year-old BJP leader LK Advani will file a statement under section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The decision is to be heard by the special court by 31 August in the case of demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on 6 December 1992.

The matter is being heard daily on the instructions of the Supreme Court.

On the other hand, preparations have started for the Bhoomi Poojan program for the construction of Ram temple on 5 August.

It is believed that in this program, leaders and saints associated with the Ram temple movement will be called and a list of invitation is being prepared.

There are discussions that on August 5, apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Home Minister Amit Shah, Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Rajnath Singh, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat were formalized. Invitation will be sent as usual.

Meanwhile, the politics of Bhumi Pujan for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya has also intensified.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Sunday that some people feel that the construction of the temple will help end the corona virus epidemic.

His reference was directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking a dig at this statement of Sharad Pawar, former Union Minister Uma Bharti has said, “This statement is not for PM Narendra Modi but against Lord Ram.”

In his order, Special Judge AK Yadav fixed July 23 for recording the statement of BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi.

Earlier on July 2, senior BJP leader Uma Bharti had appeared in a special CBI court in Ayodhya.

She is the 19th accused in the case to record her statement in court. She said in her statement in the court of Special CBI Judge SK Yadav that in 1992, the then Congress government at the Center had accused Her of Babri demolition with a political vendetta. She is absolutely innocent.

The court is recording the statements of 32 accused in this case.

On December 6, 1992, two criminal cases were registered after the Babri Masjid collapsed. The first case against many unknown servants and the second against eight prominent leaders including Advani.

A case was filed against Advani and other leaders for making inflammatory speeches. Apart from these two, 47 more cases were also written against journalists for assault and loot etc.

Later, the investigation of all the cases was given to the CBI. CBI filed a joint chargesheet in both the cases.

For this, on the advice of the High Court, a new special court was set up in Lucknow for Ayodhya cases. But notification did not mention the other one. That is, the second case continued in Rae Bareli.

The special court, in its order for framing of charges, said that since all the cases are related to the same act, there is a sufficient basis for prosecuting all the cases. But many accused including Advani challenged this order in the High Court.

On 12 February 2001, the High Court accepted the joint charge sheet of all the cases, but also said that the Lucknow special court did not have the right to hear the second case with the eight named accused, because that case number was not included in the notification of its formation. Was The case lodged against Advani and other Hinduist leaders was entangled in legal stalking and technical reasons.

Special court judges will retire only after hearing the verdict

According to senior journalist Ramdutt Tripathi, “Advani and other leaders had filed an appeal in the High Court. The court had sent the criminal conspiracy case to Rae Bareli citing technical reasons. However, the Supreme Court later moved to Rae Bareli. The trial case was linked to the Babri demolition case. Now a joint hearing is going on in the special court of Lucknow. The Supreme Court has recently ordered the extension of the tenure of the judge hearing these cases, that he decided in these cases. Will retire by giving.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had extended the tenure of the special court for three months to complete the trial in the case relating to the demolition of the 1992 Ram Janma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid disputed structure in Ayodhya.

The Supreme Court said that the decision should be heard in this case by 31 August.

Many senior leaders, including senior BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti, are accused in this case.

The Supreme Court had asked Special Judge SK Yadav to control the proceedings of the court as per law, so that its hearing can be completed within the stipulated time.
