Kangana Ranaut was severely injured when she was hit on the head in a sword fight shot in Hyderabad.
Kangana Ranaut suffered a major injury when she was hit on the head during a sword fight on the sets of upcoming film Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi. The incident took place in Hyderabad where the shooting was in progress. A profusely bleeding Kangana was rushed to Apollo Hospital and her wound needed 15 stitches. She was later shifted to the ICCU.
She will be under observation in the hospital for a few days.
Doctors said the hit could have been fatal as it was very close to the skull.
According to producer Kamal Jain, “Kangana had to duck when Nihar (Pandya) attacked her, but the timing went wrong and Nihar’s sword hit her forehead instead. It made a deep cut between her eyebrows. Nihar was apologetic and felt terrible, but Kangana pacified him.”
The injury is likely to leave a deep scar on Kangana’s face. But she wants to flaunt her scar in the film. “Rani of Jhansi was a warrior. So Kangana has decided that she will wear her scar with pride just like the Queen of Jhansi did,” a source was quoted by Mid Day.
Kangana is likely to be discharged from the hospital next week. After the film is canned, she may undergo cosmetic surgery.
Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi is likely to be released in April next year.
