ED To Quiz Rhea Chakraborty Again Today; Brother Showik Grilled For 18 Hours

Riya Chakraborty will face the Enforcement Directorate again on Monday in money laundering case to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

It comes after ED grilled her brother Showik for about 18 hours on Saturday. According to reports, Showik’s interrogation went on till around 6:30 am on Sunday morning.

Rhea Chakraborty’s previous questioning with the ED went on for eight hours. ED officials will hold a hearing with Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty on Monday. Rhea was questioned by ED once on Saturday, then She was called back on Monday

According to sources in the investigation agency, the authorities collected electronic evidence in connection with the case and are also investigating phone records of conversations between Rea, her father and brother, news agency ANI reported.

The CBI has collected documents from the Bihar police regarding the actor’s death. The ED has asked the late actor’s friend Siddharth Pithani to appear before the agency on August 8.

Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding the suspension of the CBI probe. The hearing is set for August 11 in the Supreme Court.

The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput has shaken the nation. The actor committed suicide on June 14 at his Bandra residence. The case has taken a turning point since the FIR was lodged against Rhea Chakraborty and family for abetment of suicide.
