Sri Lanka: A Faction Of the Government Party Crossed Over To The opposition

The revolutionary faction of the governing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (Sri Lanka Progressive Front) led by MP Dallas Alhapperuma had yesterday (August 31) crossed over to the opposition.                                               

Accordingly MP’s Dallas Alahapperuma, Professor G.L. Pieris, Dilan Perera, Professor Charitha Herath, Professor Channa Jayusumana, Nalaka Godahewa, K.P.S Kumarasiri, Udayana Kirindigoda, Dr. Guanapala Rathnasekare, Wasantha Yapa Bandara, Thilak Rajapakshe, Lalith Ellawala and Upul Galappaththy had seated on Opposition bench.

Making a special statement soon after the crossover Professor G.L Pieris had stated that the Government is going against the pledges given by Sri Lanka Podu jana Peramuna to the people.
