Rs 50 Lakh Recovered In CBI Raid On DK Shivakumar’s Premises, Congress Termed The Action As ‘Political Vendetta’
CBI is conducting raids at the house of Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar. The house of his brother DK Suresh has also been raided by the CBI. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation has seized cash worth Rs 50 lakh in the premises of DK Shivkumar and his brother MP DK Suresh. The Congress has accused the central government of doing revenge politics.
Officials said that at least 60 officials of the central agency are conducting raids at 15 places. Significantly, Shivkumar is also called the troubleshooter of his party.
According to the information, the raid by the CBI began at 6 am at his residence in Doddallahalli village in Kanakpura constituency, which is represented by Sivakumar in the state assembly. DK Suresh is a Member of Parliament from Bangalore Rural. One of the houses being raided is that of Iqbal Hussain, considered close to Shivkumar.
The Congress has accused the central government of doing revenge politics over this action. Is applying Congress leader Randeep Surjewala tweeted that the Modi-Yeddyurappa duo will not be used to intimidate their puppets by the CBI. The CBI should investigate the corruption of the Yeddyurappa government at this time. Congress workers will not succumb to these tactics of Modi government, we will be strengthened by such action.
At the same time, Congress leader Priyank Kharge tweeted and wrote that the raid by the CBI again raises big questions. The government here is itself getting entangled in corruption and elections are near.
Let us tell you that earlier last year, ED arrested DK Shivakumar on September 3, 2019 in the case of money laundering. He was lodged in Tihar Jail under judicial custody. In October last year, Shivkumar has released on bail on a personal bond of Rs 25 lakh by the Delhi High Court.
