The BJP did extremely well in the Hindi heartland and reconquered Madhya Pradesh and  Rajasthan where the party had lost in the recent Assembly elections.

Apart from the Hindi heartland, the BJP won big time in Karnataka.
But the big story is from West Bengal were BJP has gained 18 seats compared to 4 last time. The Trinamool is at 19. This is where history is being created.

Another big story is in Andhra Pradesh where Jaganmohan Reddy swept away the Telugu Desam.

In Tamil Nadu the DMK is sweeping, decimating the AIADMK.

In Kerala, the big story is that the Congress is sweeping the polls and the Left is on a poor wicket. The BJP is expected to open its account.
