After spending 85 days in jail, Malayalam Superstar Dileep got bail today from the Kerala High Court. The police failed to file a chargesheet despite claiming that they had solid evidence.

Dileep was given a hero’s welcome when he stepped out of the Aluva subjail in the evening – a scene that was very similar to the welcome that Ramanunni got in the latest movie Ramaleela. Dileep essayed the role of Ramanunni in the political-cum-crime thriller in Ramaleela.

Dileep was later greeted at his house by the Ramleela team including Siddique who played the role of a rival to the superstar in Ramaleela.

Dileep was arrested in a case relating to the abduction and molestation case involving an actress. He was put behind bars on July 10. The actor was granted bail on stringent conditions with Justice Sunil Thomas warning him not to tamper with evidence.

The court has asked Dileep to surrender his passport, deposit a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh and two personal sureties. The court had previously rejected his bail pleas, this was the fifth such approach by the actor.
