Galle Face Protest: Sri Lankan Police arrested leader Stalin

One of the leaders of Galle Face protest, the General Secretary of Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin was arrested by the Colombo Fort Police last evening (August 03) over his involvement in a Protest Campaign by violating a court order.

Police officers attached to the Colombo Fort Police station had arrested the Union leader Stalin at the headquarters of the Ceylon Teachers Union “Guru Madura” in Colombo Fort and later taken him to the Fort Police station. Stalin was arrested over protesting on 28th of May by violating a Court order which was issued against holding protests.
