Fuel Allowance of Srilankan MP’s to increase?

At a time the Country is facing a fuel crisis, Government in Sri Lanka has decided to increase the fuel allowance of Parliamentarians by an exorbitant amount according to the Parliamentary sources.

Accordingly the fuel allowance of MP’s in outstation areas is due to increase by nearly Rs. 200,000 and the fuel allowance of MP’s in Colombo and suburbs is due to be increased by Rs. 100,000 the Sources have added.

MP’s are due to receive the increased fuel allowance with their salaries of this month it has been reported.
