In Andhra Pradesh ruling TDP to be crushed, to get between 4 and 6 seats, poll shows.
New Delhi: As expected, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress party (YSRCP) is headed for a crushing victory over the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the Lok Sabha election in Andhra Pradesh, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll shows.
The survey projects a seat share of 18-20 for the YSRCP, with a vote share of 45 per cent. Remember, there are a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
And what about the Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP? The exit poll predicts that it could get between 4 and 6 seats, with a vote share of 38 per cent.
The poll suggests that neither the BJP nor the Congress, with vote shares of 3 per cent each, may both end up with zero seats.
Polling in Andhra Pradesh’s 25 parliamentary seats took place on April 11 in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, and was held concurrently with assembly elections.
