Big News: IPL Matches Will Not Be Held In Empty Stadium, Fans Will Get Admission!

The IPL can be held in the UAE from 19 September to 8 November. However, the UAE is still waiting for official talks.

new Delhi. After the cancellation of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2020, the way of organizing the IPL 2020 was already cleared. IPL Governing Council Chairman Brajesh Patel also lifted the curtain from the venue of the IPL. Patel has made it clear that the IPL 2020 will be held in the UAE. The IPL will be held in the UAE from 19 September to 8 November and the UAE Cricket Board is also fully ready to host. However, the BCCI has not yet officially approached the UAE to host the IPL. But still the UAE board is fully ready for the event.

After the official talks on the work, Emirates Cricket Board general secretary Mubashir Usmani said that in April we wrote to the BCCI showing interest in hosting the IPL. We heard the statement of Brajesh Patel in the media and we welcome it. He said that we are fully prepared. Once we hear from the BCCI officially, then we will be engaged in further work.

It is being said that the IPL will be organized in an empty stadium without any audience. But on the arrival of fans in the stadium, Usmani said that we will propose some schemes to our government and will also take the approval of which protocol is required to be followed to host the tournament. He said that as far as fans are concerned, we want our Asian diaspora and Fans to come to UAE and watch the IPL.

He is very keen to see such a big event. We will ask the government to allow some relaxation to bring fans to the stadium. Actually, curfew has been lifted in Dubai and even tourists are allowed to come. But there are still protocols and restrictions in Abu Dhabi and Sharjahan. Restaurants have opened in Dubai and 30 to 50 percent of people with social distance and security are allowed to come. That is why we hope that some fans will get permission.
