Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda Loses for the Second Time

Deve Gowda lost from Tumakuru to the BJP.

Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda lost the Tumakuru Lok Sabha seat to BJP’s Basavaraju by more than 20,000 votes.

It is the second time that Deve Gowda is losing a Lok Sabha election.

Gowda has always been representing the Hassan seat. But this time he shifted to Tumakuru in order to accommodate his grandson Prajwal Gowda in Hassan.

His loss will have serious implications on state politics.
