Dileep To Be In Police Custody For a Day More

Dileep to move bail plea tomorrow at 5 pm when his police custody ends.

Malayalam actor Dileep failed to get bail today when his case was take up by the Angamaly Magistrate’s Court.

While the police wanted more time to collect information, the court said it would give time only till 5 pm tomorrow when the case would be taken up.

Dileep appeared confident today as he was accompanied by his advocate. I will be back, he said with confidence.

The police plan to use time till tomorrow evening to interrogate the actor and piece together all the evidence.

The police had submitted 19 pieces of evidence before the court. But at many places there are gaping holes which the defence lawyer can easily exploit, said a source.

Ram Kumar, Dileep’s counsel, however, has opposed the findings of the police and argued that all charges raised against his client were baseless and figment of imagination and should be dismissed. He further termed the actor’s arrest as illegal.

The bail application would be moved once the police custody ends tomorrow evening. The case was heard in the chamber of magistrate.
